George Rivera is a Native American artist with many talents. He is a renowned sculptor, teacher, painter and jewelry designer. George is also the ex-governor of Pojoaque Pueblo in Northern New Mexico.
The driving force behind all his creations is the Native American Pueblo culture. George's artwork reflects the symbolism and realism of both the past and present-day life of the pueblo people.
George also founded The Lightning Boy Foundation in Northern New Mexico that provides traditional hoop dance instruction and other dance programs to youths aged two and up. Their mission is dedicated to nurturing and building confidence and integrity through culture and artistic expression.
